About the nomenclature:
Brugmansia has the name of justin brugmans sebald (1,763-1,819). The common name “angel trumpets” is often shared with the genus Datura (closely related). The genus differs from datura because it is much larger, perennial and woody (the species datura, they are herbaceous), and brugmansia has the hanging branches (datura have the erect branches).

Brugmansia sanguinea red flowers, is a species with unique particularity in the genus, are pollinated by hummingbirds, the others are pollinated mainly by bats.

Trumpet tubular flowers can range from reddish orange to bright red to scarlet red, depending on the temperature.

This species is not a hybrid, the seeds generate the true species with the characteristics described. It is not tolerant to strong afternoon sun, preferring planting in partial shading or filtered sun.

The offer for fresh seeds of this species is extremely rare.
